It gives me a great pleasure to invite you to the 29th season of your Riverside Symphonia!

The two major symphonic productions that we prepared for you include both works that are very familiar and universally admired (particularly at the Christmas Concert), as well as works rarely heard but deserving to be better known. Those little-known musical pearls will be primarily presented during our program titled "Symphonia is a Woman".

The 2007 Grand Prize Winner of the Varna (Bulgaria) International Conducting Competition, Wes Kenney is now in his 16th season as Music Director of the Fort Collins (Colorado) Symphony and Director of Orchestras at Colorado State University. Named in 2004 to an additional post as Music Director of Opera Fort Collins, he currently conducts four to five professional or collegiate operatic productions as well as numerous orchestra concerts and dance performances each season throughout Northern Colorado. He is also in his 6th season as Music Director of the Denver Young Artists Orchestra--the premier youth orchestra in the state of Colorado and the 2018 winner of the American Prize for performance. He will take that orchestra to Europe in June 2019.

Please join the Riverside Symphonia & Robert Beck for an exclusive reception for “Robert Beck: Archetype”;  an exploration of the archetypes that inspire the work of Robert Beck.

A Quartet of Riverside Symphonia players will provide the backdrop for a special evening with Robert Beck as he takes us on a journey through his work and his life.
