In December 2020 Devroop released his CD “Ancestral Home” which received airplay in over 40 countries with two tracks Venezia and Sunset in Koh Samui gaining entry to the Smooth Jazz Global Listerner Charts worldwide. In March 2023 he released his acoustic jazz quartet album entitled “Dance of the Indentured” featuring him with an international quartet comprised of Hans Vroomans (piano) from the Netherlands, legendary jazz bassist Hein van de Geyn (Netherlands) and South Africa’s premier drummer, Kevin Gibson. The album features 11 originals composed by Devroop that have a distinctively South African jazz feel.

Karén’s second album release for 2023 entitled Relentless featured him with all star cast of national and international smooth jazz artists. Released in August 2023, the album comprised 10 original high energy and groove laden smooth jazz tracks with a few vocal tracks by SA Idols winner Monde Msutwana. Relentless remined on the Smooth Jazz Global charts for over 6 months.

Hot off the heels of 3 very successful albums in the last 3 years comes Karen’s latest release entitled “Overjoyed”.
