Celebration of the Season opens Riverside Symphonia' 37th year

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — The Riverside Symphonia announces the opening concert of its milestone 37th season, "Celebration of the Season," taking place on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at 4:00 PM. This holiday tradition will be hosted at the historic First Presbyterian Church of Lambertville, located at 31 N. Union Street.
Under the direction of long-time Music Director and Conductor Maestro Mariusz Smolij, the orchestra delivers a vibrant program filled with uplifting seasonal classics and holiday favorites designed to bring the community together in song and celebration.
This year's opening performance highlights the extraordinary talent of the region's youth. The concert will feature a special guest appearance by violinists Ryan Chung, the winner of the 2026 Caprio Young Artists Competition. The biennial competition, established in 1996 to honor the legacy of founding conductor John Michael Caprio, fosters the growth of exceptional young instrumentalists across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
Joining Chung and the orchestra on stage the South Hunterdon High School Vocal Ensemble returns. Their choral harmonies will add a rich, local dimension to the festive repertoire, embodying the community spirit that has anchored the Symphonia for over three decades.
