AUDITION INFORMATION

The Riverside Symphonia announces audions for the 2009 – 2010 concert season

REQUIREMENTS: Prepare excerpts from a pre-determined repertoire list, a solo
piece of your choice, and possibly some sight-reading. Candidates should be
prepared to remain for possible call back. Required orchestral excerpts are posted
on our web site. In order to schedule an audition, candidates must not be subject to any
visa or immigration status that would prevent lawful employment.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Qualified candidates should send: application
form from website, along with a one-page résumé and a twenty-five dollar ($25.00)
deposit (check payable to “Riverside Symphonia”) by November 4, 2009 to schedule
an audition. This audition fee will be refunded if: the candidate is not given an
audition time, given an audition time and the candidate cancels by Nov. 25, 2009, or
when the audition is taken as scheduled. Auditions will be held in Lambertville, NJ
on December 2, 2009. Auditions will be screened.

AUDITION INFORMATION:

• Resumes will be sorted by experience, education and the player’s area of residence. If you do not currently live in the metropolitan tri-state area or have a prior commitment bringing you to the area, your resume may be excluded from consideration.
• You will be notified by Nov. 18th regarding the disposition of your application.
• All excerpts and audition requirements can be found on our website. (see heading above)
• There is no housing provided by the Riverside Symphonia. Auditions will be held in Lambertville, NJ.
• One hundred percent (100%) rehearsal attendance is expected of all musicians for any Riverside performance. A typical rehearsal schedule for a concert series is as follows:

• The Riverside Symphonia has anywhere from 4 to 8 concert series per season.

• All candidates must not be subject to any visa or immigration status that would prevent lawful employment.

DEPOSIT: Your twenty-five dollar $25.00 deposit will be returned to you upon completion of your audition or if you are not given an audition time, or if you cancel your audition by Nov. 25, 2009. No one will be scheduled for an audition without a deposit. No refunds for no-shows.

NOTIFICATION: You will receive a letter from the Riverside Symphonia informing you of the audition committee’s decision within 10(ten) days of the audition.
